How To Increase Shutdown Time So That Processes Can Quit Properly

Step1

Click on Start then Run. Type Regedit.exe in the Run Dialog Box.

Step 2

Locate the following key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop

Step3

From the right panel , find WaitToKillAppTimeoutkey and double click it.

Step 4

Enter a new value into the value data box which contain the default time out value 2000 ( which means 20 seconds). Then click OK and Exit Register.
